This project is a design by Jo Coenen & Co Architects in conjunction with AMA in the design development. The commercial space was occupied by restaurant Beluga for which AMA was commissioned for the interior. Six luxury apartments located in a jagged block perched on the banks of the Maas river. Expressive lines are molded by it’s position to and relationship with a new connecting pedestrian bridge to the city banks, river promenade and new city square. The prominence of the site permitted a tectonic perpendicular to any Dutch or Flemish provincial style, being clean, crisp, and contemporary.
